I think actionjack pretty much said what I was going to say.

Once you reach Level 20, the level indicator on your name is removed. As indicated, most people will be Level 20 in Factions, so seeing that Level next to your name would be redundant, in my opinion. If you are not level 20, your level would still appear on your name.

You can be level 20 and not yet ascended and be missing 30 attribute points, but once you have that as well, it should go away, I agree.

What I meant to say is that level 20 doesnt mean anything, so I was suggesting things to replace it with. You can make a big deal about elitism in an other topic.

Well, I was objecting to the idea of continuing the count beyond 20, and the idea of earning a bunch of medals and stuff. I suppose if it were for an actual in game accomplishment (i.e., all skills unlocked, all missions and bonuses cleared) I could be in favour of an emote or other reward, since that isn't simply a matter of racking up experience, but having an /exp emote or a level indicator showing you as level 53 is only encouraging the already rampant elitism.

So:
For removing the lvl 20 (it's redundant, but then again, why bother removing it...)
For possible PvE rewards, so long as they aren't tied to something silly like experience, but are instead for game accomplishments (All skills unlocked and all bonuses done sound reasonable, as they aren't impossible nor do they have a "level" indicator to them - you can't have more bonus missions done than someone else if you both did them all for example)
Against continuing displays of level, emotes based on experience, gold, faction, fame, rank and all other forms of measuring worth based on the amount of time played.

I don't support all the ideas Lexar mentions. Like the level beyond level 20. But he does have some good suggestions. And one I would defintely like to see is the one I mentioned before:

I for one, would actually like to see more players have more of PVE completed. This would give them an incentive to do so.

Personally, it bugs me, for players who have 3 level 20 chars or more, but have never set foot into the Hell's Precipice mission. Or has never done Ice Caves or Iron Mines because they skipped it all just to do Thunderhead Keep to get to Ember Light Camp.

come on now who doesn't love rewards for their acheivements.
i do remember reading some thing from 1 of the devs about there being ways to define ourselves more in pve for ch2,but do they meen a rewrd system like this or just a hair dresser/town cloths type of thing ?.

awesome idea this is one of the best, show the levels and show how much weve played but not actually give us any extras for playing longer, just show that we have.

Removing lvl 20 indicator: Don't care either way
Rewards for Exp lvl: *Rolls up news paper* No! Bad idea! Bad! *Whack!*
Rewards for Finishing Missions/Bonus/Certain Quests/etc: Good Idea

This is very much similar to the "Titles" idea posted by another, my favorite addition to this would be getting a certain number of kills of a type of mob, or maybe soloing a certain amount at the same time. But I digress, and I shall digress again.

Actually in the interveiw I read (recent one) 20% of Factions will be for Ascended Players. Confirmation?

Well, I hate to be a disagreeing Danny, but I have to disagree with this suggstion. There is just something about giving people more to brag about that makes me want to shoot it down, and trust me I know all about getting shot down... Zing.

Anyways the idea is nice but I can not see it doing any good what-so-ever to the community that is already so focused on "LOLZ show us how leetz u arrrrr. Zomg ur only rank 3! ZLOL N<><>b."

So as you can see I disagree.... Like the disagreeing person I am.

The OP had two suggestions, the first which promotes bragging that you, Ultimate_Gaara disagrees.

The second, which suggests that the level 20 label be removed all together when a player has "ascended" and have 200 maximum attribute points.

I myself don't like the first idea which promotes elitism, bragging etc.
But for the second idea, I believe it would be feasable.

New PvE emotes (a la pvp rank) for players with notable PvE accomplishments (all titan quests, final assault very quickly, new UW in less than one hour, all missions completed flawlessly at least once, or whatever)? Why not.

Rewarding farmers/grinders with a badge? Not a thrilling perspective.

I'd say all rewards that don't modify stats / gear / whatever_is_useable are somewhat the little but with great meaning flavour of the game.

Theese little things that are worth exactly nothing (in meaning of advantage over others) are acceptable.

What have PvE Players that PvP character will never got? (not mentioning gear gear type like grotto / fow armor)
There are only two things - gear that is not customized and infused armor.
Ok, I forgot, Ascention, UW spider as pet and collectors items.

What have PvP that PvE will never get?
Weapons / gear with PVP prefix in name.

All rest is achieveable by both types. For PvP major factor is Fame / Rank, it is normal that denizens of PvE would like to show up somewhat different from heroes of PvP.

Armor, pets, different stuff. This is true for PvE to PvP comparison, while PvP against PvP have fame / rank, PvE against PvE have nothing to distinguish those who followed plot synopsis from those who runned whole game.

IMHO - best way to distinguish runners from story followers is as others mentioned kind of gift / reward for completing all skills/runes/upgrades unlock, cooperative missions and bonuses, for quests really hard like titans.

However things like "Finish new tombs in less than FIXED_AMOUNT_OF_TIME is pointless due to some party builds can't achieve this whatever their efforts are. Show me a trapper team doing Tombs in less than 90 minutes and I'd say I saw nothing in GW.

Slow down. The expansion is NOT aimed at level 20 characters. If you buy the expansion, you are expected to play through the campaign from level 1, although you can play with your level 20 Prophecies character if you really wanted to.
